Recently got a Flint 3E to upgrade from an aging R7800 and my speeds are pretty poor compared to what I used to get.
At max I hit around 370mbps on a 1gig down network, 160 enabled, etc etc.
Even my old R7800 managed to get around 500mbps on both my phone and other devices, so I dont know what’s up. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Could you please help confirm the following:
-
Is the BE6500 directly connected to the ISP modem via Ethernet?
-
What speed do devices connected to the BE6500 via Ethernet achieve?
-
When phones and other devices connect to the BE6500, what link speed do they negotiate?
- For Android devices, you can find this under: Settings → Wi-Fi → Tap the BE6500 SSID → Link Speed
- For Windows devices, you can find this under: Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → Click the BE6500 SSID properties → Aggregated link speed (Receive/Transmit)
Please also make sure that:
- The current speed test is not running through a VPN
- The phones and other devices are connected to the BE6500 5GHz SSID instead of the 2.4GHz SSID
