We now have 4.8.0 Beta AND 4.8.0 Snapshot!
Can I assume the Snapshot version is OP24?
No idea of Openwrt version number or kernel used...
It would be best if the firmware descriptions had more info!
Hi,
As long as the firmware name is not marked as "op24-x.x.x", so they are all closed source firmware, which comes from the original factory closed source driver.
The corresponding version of MT3000/MT6000 is op21, kernel 5.4.
So now we have TWO 4.8.0, both based on OLD Openwrt 21 and kernel 5.4.....
Why??
The closed-source SDK is provided by MTK/Qualcomm, and their closed-source code is based on the branch of op21.
GL closed-source firmware is built on MTK/Qualcomm SDK, so the op version is also 21.
When MT6000/MT3000 closed-source firmware v4.8.0 to be converted to a stable version, the op24-v4.8.0 will be released follow as the development plan.
