[SOLVED] Comet Pro - TERRIBLE Mouse Scrolling

Scrolling with the mouse wheel is terrible - STILL!

Have we not got a fix for this yet?

Read all the forum posts about setting WebRTC, lowering mouse scroll rate to “1”,

The best I can get is to unchecked “show local cursor”, but it still stutters and stalls. For what it is worth, when it seems really stalled I have to move the mouse around (it seems to have stalled too) and as soon as it moves the scrolling comes back.

I’ve played with all kinds of settings and combinations and it is still happening.

Can we please get this fixed?

Hi, thanks for the detailed information. Could you please share a few more details with us?

  • Export the syslog and share it with us.
  • Record a short video showing the scrolling issue.
  • If possible, try a different USB-C cable and check if the issue still occurs.

Certainly.

One more piece of information that JUST came to light and I think may be a direct factor - the machine I was connecting to was a Lenovo M910q. (These are the main machines I am trying to manage).

The video outputs it has are 3 DisplayPorts.

I have a DisplayPort - to - HDMI cable that I am using to connect to the Comet Pro. I have tired 2 different cables to convert and I get the same issue.

Per chance, I just connected a laptop that has HDMI out (so HDMI to HDMI) . . . and I have no scrolling or stuttering issues at all it seems. :-/

The video quality is even better - so must have something to do with the DispayPort to HDMI conversion.

Would you like the Sys Log and video still?

Thoughts?

Ok, I’ve found the problem.

It’s the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that I was using that caused all the issues.

I’ve changed it out for another brand and everything is good.

Thanks for lending me an ear.

Best Regards.
