SOLVED: Factory MT300N cannot 'opkg update', 'Remove Wrong Signature'

SOLUTION: The solution was to use the GUI admin function to update the firmware and now this works.

No upgrades, nothing installed, nothing activated, completely default MT300N.

SSH’d into it to install some packages that I’d like to run but cannot install anything and keep getting this error.

root@GL-MT300N:/tmp# opkg update

wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Signature check failed.
Remove wrong Signature file.

How can I get past this since without running update, I cannot install anything since I cannot resolve dependencies.

Seems this version has been removed? Do I need to upgrade the firmware using the GUI first or something?
