Sonoff S31 Tasmota will not connect to GL-MT1300 / Beryl

I’ve used a SLATE in my car for a while now alongside some wifi switches. Recently I replaced the SLATE with a BERYL and all was good until my Sonoff S31 would not connect to any network on the BERYL.

The weird part is, the Sonoff can see the 25 wifi and not the 5G, it just will not connect. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this is?

This is only a guess, as I have never used a Beryl, but the Beryl uses the MTK proprietary WIFI drivers where the Slate uses open source drivers. If you do a search of the forum, you will see that there has been issues with the MTK drivers and some WIFI clients. It is one of the reasons I will not buy a Beryl.

Most routers use closed source wifi driver. It should not be a problem.

I suggest that you check Sonoff. Here is a long post Support : ITEAD Customer Care Center

Basically you should try reset the power switch and try again. Or reboot.
Make some changes in the wifi settings can also do the magic.
