Spitz AX PPPoE

I’m just testing my new SpitxAX GL-X3000, everything seems working good, and I’m impressed with the 5G and also 3G and 4G reception.

Anyway, I’m disappointed with the PPPoE performance, I used it around 1 hour and the max download speed I had was 150 Mbps, with my GL Flint, before and after this test I was going more than 600 Mbps.

I hope that this bad speed performance could be solved by software soon!

Cheers
Piero

Hi pierocafa:

What’s your firmware version?

Hi,
I updated the item with the latest beta in your website, with:
beta Version: 4.3.0
Date Compiled: 2023-04-15 08:13:08 (UTC+01:00)

SHA256: e20cea3750ae772d1781211e6926504802ea075535b3a8844420db0d1d4f9f2c

I also asked here in the forum if there was any mistake, this is in the other thread:
“but I suspect that this is not the 4.3 but only the 4.0.
my Firmware type changed from release30300 to release10300.
I updated because the snapshot day was newest.”

hope this helps, let me know if you need other information.
regards
Piero

Hi pierocafa:

I have tested the PPPOE function through Xinertel bigdao220.But it is OK.

  • In confirming a few things:
1, Do you have firewall, dns, vpn services enabled?
2, Please update the firmware to help verify this issue: GL.iNet download center

Thank you!

Hi,
My provider is digiweb, in Ireland.
I can confirm that I have the latest firmware available in your web site, and also that I don’t have any firewall or VPN service enabled.
I do have manual DNS (same configuration of the Flint) as the following:

I just ran test again, same computer, connected with 5g wireless, first test is with Flint, and second test is with the spitz:

FLINT:

Spitz:

let me know if you need other information from me or other test.
cheers
Piero

P.S. I edit this post, I also tried with Computer connected by cable before to FLINT and after to SPITZ, and I had similar results.

Thank you very much!

Please help enable ‘hardware acceleration’ to test PPPOE.

Hi @lizh
I changed to hardware accelerator and also rebooted the router, but the speed test gave similar results.

Cheers
Piero

Hi pierocafa:
I did a lot of testing locally and that didn’t happen.

If it’s convenient for you, can I have a look at it remotely?

Hi @lizh ,
yes, for me it’s ok, contact me in private and we can organize a remote session for tomorrow (10 May).
Thanks.
regards
Piero

Hi,
thanks to Lizh for the help and support.
the issue was that my 5G network had the bandwidth set to 20 MHz.
I changed to 80 MHz and the performance are now great.
This parameter was changed to 20 after the upgrade, I did not change, just check the default value if you have similar issue.
We can close this thread.
cheers
Piero
