I’m using a T-Mobile Home Internet SIM. I get the error “The interface is connected, but the Internet can’t be accessed with IPv4 & IPv6 protocol.” When I go to the APN, it’ll often say gigsky. I try changing it to fbb.home or fast.t-mobile. com, but it doesn’t always work. Sometimes just leaving it blank works. When I reboot, it comes back. Running 4.8.3, and I think this behavior started with 4.8.x. Has anybody else seen it?
I've run into that problem with my flint3 and 5g m2 development board, it kept resetting itself to gigsky. I noticed if when I change the APN I go into advanced and change the protocol, the APN change will stick. Then change the protocol back and it sticks.
That said, I've yet to get mine to connect. My module connects fine when plugged into windows, but says "sim not registered" when connected to the router.
@Chuck If you leave the APN blank, router will search the corresponding APN for the sim card "gigsky" should be the APN assigned by the router.
If router fails to access the internet with the auto-assigned APN, try configure it manually. For T-Mobile Home Internet, the IP type should be IPv4&IPv6. Make sure this configuration is correct.
Hi sir, your TMHI connection issue is due to the modem module config. As we discussed, I suggest to update your modem firmware to try
That’s the problem. The setting will not stay. It sets itself to gigsky (which is not correct) or doesn’t accept what I put in. I think it started with 4.8.1.
I will report to the relevant team to optimize the APN allocation mechanism of the router.
As for the issue where the router cannot connect to the network using the manual APN, pls reproduce it and provide the following information to check:
- system log
- modem debug info, download it from cellular ->Modem AT Command page
