New MT6000 Flint 2
I bought the router for improving the stability of PC gaming while the TVs are being used for Netflix etc. I'm on a 100/20 VDSL line. It's a helped a lot but I get stutter every few seconds which I assume as the TV buffers a few more frames.
I was hoping SQM would with per host isolation prevent this from happening, I can use a synthetic tool below to show the problem (only occurs when the TV is running), in actual games the effect is much more pronounced it'll show as a visible stutter/lag.
I'm running CAKE with host isolation on, overhead 22 and MPU 68, and I've tried quite a few combinations of this.
- Device Model MT6000 Flint 2
- Firmware version 4.7.0
- Screenshots
- Network topology diagram INTERNET -> RJ12 -> DLINK 245GE modem -> Flint 2 router -> LAN
- Problem description
I turned off hardware acceleration which had the same problem. SQM won't work while thats on. duh. I get A+ on bufferbloat now, but the latency spikes persist.
Regardless of hardware acceleration, SQM, or nothing, I get these lag spikes with streaming on the network. Is there any possible config that will help?

Hello,
From your screenshot, the average delay is not bad.
- If all client devices (PC, TV, etc.) are directly connected to DLINK modem, will it improve lag and delay?
- Reset the firmware for the Flint 2, with the default settings, is the TV smooth to play?
