Support with new connection

Hi there,

I am having trouble connecting our new device.

I realise this is an old device but I hope its still supported as we no internet for our business and we are losing a lot of sales.

I’ve done a factory reset.

Device is GL-AX1800

Message is below:

The Wi-Fi network "GL-AX1800-26a" requires a
WPA2 password.

Connection is HFC/NBN broadband

I'd really appreciate some belp.

Hi,

After restoring the factory settings, you can use a computer with an Ethernet port to connect directly to the LAN port of the router with an Ethernet cable, open a browser and access default IP address: 192.168.8.1

Then you can access the AX1800 router's management page.

If you're connected via WiFi, the WiFi password/key is usually located on a sticker on the bottom of the router.

Once you're connected to the management page, please provide a screenshot of the Internet page to confirm that the router is connecting to the ISP's network.

Hi there, thank you so much for your help.

I actually did a master reset and the default password keeps saying WPA2 password required also.

I shall try to connect with a ethernet port directly.

Would I need a password for that also?

You'll be prompted to set up the root (aka 'administrator') password.
