I have a Brume2 in router mode connected to an old Orbi RBK50 mesh system running in access point mode. I’ve had more and more issues with Orbi over the last year so decided to try out the Flint2. I got a £50 Amazon voucher from work, so managed to get the Flint for £53 from Amazon coming tomorrow. Would you guys recommend running 4.8.3 firmware or 4.8.2 beta op24? Are the 4.8.2 issues on glinet firmware present on the op24 version? Thanks!
I think the latest stable i.e. 4.8.3 is your best starting point.
The firmware v4.8.3 and v4.8.2-op24 are both recommended.
If you don't install/use plugins often in router, go for v4.8.3.
If you play around with plugins a lot, op24 may be more compatible with more plugins.

Actually one further question @bruce as I will set this up tonight. I believe initially op24 was inferior over WiFi. However at this point is op24 comparable from a performance point of view? Thanks
I think the WiFi performance of op24 firmware is similar to that of closed-source firmware.
In my opinion, the difference is not big, but it varies depending on the environment. Some users say that op24 is better, and some say that closed-source is better.
