Tablets have difficulty reconnecting to velica mesh

I experienced this with a Huawei Matepad Pro and with my wife’s ipad air: the tablet tries to reconnect upon wakeup and then might connect very briefly or not at all. From then on it keeps trying to reconnectand loosing connection.I checked the admin screens when this happens with the Matepad and I see that it remains trying the sub node 1 of the mesh even when I am next to the main node. When all this is happening I also get “Denied access to network” errors. I’ve tried deleting the wireless connection from the tablet and then recreating it, but I ran into the same issue again.

Any hints? Is there maybe a way to explicitly hand over the client to the main node in the mesh?

This should be the choice of device side.

In the devices wifi settings is there anything that can be configured?
