When doing a

opkg update

Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/ar71xx/generic/packages/base/Packages.gz.
Updated list of available packages in /var/opkg-lists/chaos_calmer_base.
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/ar71xx/generic/packages/base/Packages.sig.
Signature check failed.
Remove wrong Signature file.
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/ar71xx/generic/packages/packages/Packages.gz.
Updated list of available packages in /var/opkg-lists/chaos_calmer_packages.
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/ar71xx/generic/packages/packages/Packages.sig.
Signature check failed.
Remove wrong Signature file.

etc.

Even though a few do pass the package list is not being updated

I only wanted to install nano.. at this point

I just found that there is a newer TOR firmware (1.3) Please update GL.iNet download center. That still points to 1.2 Or point it to the directory GL.iNet download center then you don’t need to update the download page .

The problem with 1.3 is a bit different now opkg update gives me:

Collected errors:

  • opkg_conf_load: Could not lock /var/lock/opkg.lock: Resource temporarily unavailable.

And still no packages are listed

I removed some un-updated content from download page. For Tor 1.3 opkg problem, seems it is locked by another thread. Please reboot and try again.

Is this a bug or something related to my local config?

It works about 50% of the time…

I am facing same issue, unable to update / download packages. how to fix it?

I am on - OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05 r47065 / LuCI for-15.05 branch (git-17.136.58961-13aa5ff)
