Trouble connecting to travel router wirelessly

I’m using the new GL-MT3000 on firmware 4.2.0 release1.

The issue is that when connecting to wifi (any 2.4/5GHz, guest or regular) the signal drops immediately after the connection looks like it is established. The router is in repeater mode but all wireless settings are default with max power and I assume using auto channels. I’m certain I have the password correct and everything.

I’m going to post logs below from the system log the router is reporting during the period when I’m attempting to connect from an android phone. Also note I’ve been attempting to connect to this router from multiple devices including another phone and a laptop as well and same results from all of them. This issue is only for wireless. A lan cable is working without issue. I’d appreciate any help. Thanks!

Ok so I’m not sure why this is the case but I modified the wireless security protocol from WPA2-PSK to WPA3-SAE and now it works on all my devices. I believe WPA2-PSK is the default but I’m not sure why it wasn’t working.

Hope this helps anyone else who may encounter this issue as well. Switching to WPA3 seems to have fixed it for me.

I am having this issue as well after a flash format.

In my log, MulticastFilterTableDeleteEntry() 430: the Group doesn’t exist. looks suspicious.

I have change to WPA/WPA2-PSK in order to make things stable.

Generally need to use the same SSID and key for both 2.4G and 5G to remain wifi stably when setting up repeater.
