HP Omen laptop - definitely supports video through USB-C port. However, when connecting RMQ1, Windows is not properly sensing / displaying to KVM. Built in screen pulses slowly as it tries to connect. Set to ‘Duplicate Display’. Monitors shows ‘ROG PG248Q’ or ‘GLKVM’ depending on EDID settings but video is never displayed. Windows display info shows correct 1920x1080 properties for GLKVM, but it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Any advice on troubleshooting?

This did not fix the problem, but perhaps gave some insight.
Before connecting RMQ1 I lowered laptop resolution from 1920x1080 to 1024x768
I connected RMQ1 - it was still using its previous EDID of 1920x1080, The ‘pulsing’ of the screen switched between the 2 resolutions, so it seems that laptop did sense the resolution that RMQ1 had set in EDID
I changed RMQ1 settings to 1024x768. Screen still ‘pulsed’ but now did not try to change resolutions
RMQ1 still did not capture/display video. Setting windows to extend instead of duplicate displays did not help. Clicking ‘Detect other display’ in Windows control panel show ‘we didn’t detect another display’ likely because it is only seen every second or two for a short time before disconnecting again.
So I found that changing refresh rate for internal display from 165 to 60hz fixed this issue, and 1920x1080 works. However, I was hoping that this solution would be a true plug and play scenario so that I can send this out to family that needs remote assistance. Any thoughts regarding this?

On my Windows 11 Asus G14 the machine keeps doing the “display connected” animation.
I’ve updated to the beta version and no change.
the only way that fixes temporary for me is going on the windows advanced display options and set the GLKVM to 50Hz, but if the machine sleeps or reboots, it will go back to the failed state.
