USB-C PD to Barrel Cable works with the X3000

I bought it a few years ago, there’s probably better ones out there by now, but it has held up well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JYVPLLJ

It’s now 10:20PST, still at two lights. I’ll be leaving soon for quite a few hours so I won’t be able to tell when it dies (but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still going).

… this will be USB-C PD, right? … RIGHT?!

Feels like xe3000’s battery is more for functioning like an ups.

Both xe3000 and x3000 with external battery arent really handheld kind of portability

sorry last question, I promise!!! the cable, is a specific cable to use 20V and the output with the shape of the X3000? in case can you send me a link of one similar you used!

Sorry, it is still 5.5mm DC interface, same as Spitz AX.

It’s no trouble, we’re all here to help one another! I listed my current cable in my first post: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GLGDD3S

I’d also ordered from another vendor that’s half the price, and has a shorter cable (thankfully Amazon has a good return policy, if I need to): Amazon.com
… and I have a 12V output version coming as well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NTVLZH7

I checked the last two cables you suggested have connector: 5.5x2.5mm, while Spitz AX interface is 5.5x2.1mm, do they works fine? The first cable connector is the right size.

Huh- I haven’t received them yet, but thanks for the heads-up and I’ll be sure to test when they arrive. Good to know my original cable (which also appears to be well-made) is the “right” one, though.

(BTW, I’m away from home, but checking my T-Mo usage stats (which could be delayed, of course) seems to indicate it’s passed traffic less than an hour ago, so that would make 12H of continuous use.)

So the 20V set from my previous post arrived and I’d tried them out- yeah, they do wobble a little more than the first cable, but the connection doesn’t interrupt.

But now I have four cables that all do the same thing and I was going to return the ones that just arrived back to Amazon, until I’d realized that I have a monitor and an Intel NUC that both use a 19.5V barrel connector with proprietary supplies- and I’ve already determined I can run the monitor with the cable, and will try the NUC on the next software upgrade- which means I can use one of my USB-C PD adapters instead.

OK, I’m having too much fun with this  I’m covered with at least one “TV” if the power goes out!

Interesting that you use only 2 of the 5G aerial. Do you recon that those two are the main ones?

No, those are all 4; 2 main and 2 MIMO. I turned off WiFi (for power-savings) on both the Spitz and the Fire Stick, and have connected the Fire Stick via a USB OTG cable and Ethernet adapter to the Spitz’ LAN port. (Earlier today I was doing some testing of the Spitz trying to figure out an issue with adding an interface to the LAN bridge and didn’t feel like connecting the antennae so had turned off WWAN and WiFi to avoid any RF SWR issues.)

You are right!! That are the 4 5G aerial!!
Good experiments! Looking forward for other fancy experiments

FTFY

USB-PD to 12V barrel = 9.3W under load (~250Mbps Wifi 5Ghz download over 5G)
USB-PD to 20V barrel = 8.7W under load (~250Mbps Wifi 5Ghz download over 5G)

I would say go for 20V.

Measurements done with the Anker 737 power bank.

Is the Puli AX battery end user replaceable?

No, Puli AX battery can’t be replaced by user.

Do you have a link to that 20v cable?

FWIW, I’ve been using this one for months now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NTVBHLP?th=1
