USB Modem

Hi Team,

I have a usb modem (Linkkey IK41VE1). The modem is currently in MBIM mode. The router (AXT1800) recognize it. LTE Signal is up but cannot connect. The dashboard shows Incompatible Modem.

Checking the dmesg:
cdc_mbim 1-1:1.3: cdc-wdm0: USB WDM device

I tried to install umbim package (probably will solve it) but cannot find it.

Any hints how to solve this issue?

Thank you everyone

Can you post the screenshot?

The router report incompatible modem but may still let you configure it.

I can use the Manual Setup, but I can't find anything related to the MBIM protocol. Currently, the config is on QMI protocol.
Note: If I switch to 3G protocol, the modem disconnects and reconnects infinitely (The modem LED light indicates restart).

The solution that currently I am using is to switch the modem to RNDIS USB mode, then the router can detect the modem as tethering.

I think this is the correct way. Tethering simplifies everything.

In modem mode need to manage a lot of compatibilities. For the MBIM and QMI protocol, both need to check in more details before can tell the reason.

Thank you for your reply.

If you need any support or more testing with MBIM protocol I will be happy to help. Apart from AXT1800 I can also test on GL-E750
