USB tether to android phone with easytether

Just got a GL-MT300N because it had tether support built in but i can not get it to connect. It says on waiting for connection from host.

I have to use easytether or another app to get around paying $30 extra a month. Anyway to get it to work?

we have tested some Android models and it works fine.

From your description seems you can see the device (usb0) and set up tethering, but you cannot get IP address?

If this is the case, please check your phone’s settings. If your phone cannot use tethering like this, (e.g. some carrier can disable this), the router will have no way to do this.
