Used Flint3 received by Reddit user

One reddit user reported, he received an used Flint3 Directly from GLiNet as pre order.
Flint 3 came used
Am from India, also placed pre-order for Flint3.Thats waiting to be dispatched.
Now I am afraid, shall I cancel my pre-order before they ship ?

Unfortunately, things like this can happen – even though they absolutely shouldn’t, especially with new, pre-ordered hardware.

That said, based on the Reddit report, it seems like an isolated case. Another user also mentioned that GL.iNet’s support responded quickly and offered a replacement, which suggests they are taking such issues seriously and are willing to make things right.

If you're still waiting for your unit to be dispatched, it's understandable to feel uneasy. But unless more cases like this pop up, I wouldn’t jump to cancel just yet. It's likely just a one-off mistake rather than a systemic issue.

If you’re still interested in the Flint 3, I’d personally wait it out. Worst case, you’ll deal with support.

Hope yours is OK.
My pre-order came today in the UK, and was properly sealed and undamaged.

Just received my new Flint 3 router!.

Will be busy next 24 hrs setting the wee box up.

If its half as good as my Flint 2 i will be delighted.

The whole pre purchase setup went like a train, plus saving a few squids is a bonus!.

Tally Ho!.

Hello,

Our cs team has contacted this customer and is negotiating and resolving it.

Our deliver devices and packaging are all brand new. May this appears an isolated case, which may be unbox during transportation, customs clearance or encounter certain special inspections.

If the appearance of the package you receive is abnormal, you can contact us in time and the team will solve the problem properly.

thanks everyone for assurance
but I could not understand what kind of "special inspection" needs screwdriver prying on a home router!
I am not going to cancel my order, but my concern is that, as I am from India, if anything goes wrong that will be a serious issue for me for return and/or replacement , RMA.
finger crossed waiting.
Rgds

Probably it is the customs, happened to me aswell with a new tablet, someone used a knife to make two vertical insets but mine still works without too much annoyance only the glass was damaged and I saw a food print on the plastics packaging, still smh about their inspection handling, I get the feeling they also check for safety regulations and do it.

Luckily with GL-iNet I never had this seen before, if it is it must be the customs.
