Using the Flint 2 with cellular and fiber optic internet?

I noticed the Flint 2 has two WAN ports. I mainly use my gigabit fibre optic connection.

I also want to have a backup internet solution as I live in an earthquake zone. I have the Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway 12 in mind. Is it possible to plug the Nokia into the second WAN port? If so, is there a way to set the Flint 2 to automatically connect to the Nokia in the event that I lose internet with my fibre optic connection?

If I have a Starlink instead of the Nokia in the second WAN, is it possible to set the Flint 2 to use Starlink if I lose my fibre optic connection?

Thank you!

Hi,

Just connect 1 Ethernet cable from Nokia Fastmile to the Flint 2 Wan2 Port and its should work. I am using it like that.

You will also need to sent WAN Fail over Mode.

So in other words, I can do what I was asking in the OP?

To further expand on this, I need to set the fiber optic connection as priority #1 and the Nokia as priority #2? Then set multi-WAN to failover mode? Now the Flint 2 is smart enough to utilize the Nokia when the fiber optic connection disconnects?

Are both WAN ports 2.5GbE? If so, I assume both can be used simultaneously with no bandwidth issues between the 2.5GbE, right?

Yes You can set this in Failover mode

Failover, with Ethernet 1 (Connected to Fibre) on top and Ethernet 2 (Connected to Nokia Router) in the 2nd position

Yes.
