VPN fails to connect after upgrade

I have a coworker who uses a GL-MT3000 with OpenVPN provided by PrivadoVPN. This has been working flawlessly until he upgraded the firmware to 4.4.6 release 2.

Now the OpenVPN connection never completes. He’s verified that the username / password is correct, and both his Macintosh and iPhone will connect through his provider to a PrivadoVPN server.

The log entries that he gets after the upgrade, re-installation of the PrivadoVPN client configuration, and reboot is:

Mon Jan 15 18:15:19 2024 daemon.notice netifd: ovpnclient (18271): * Running script ‘/etc/firewall.nat6’

The link just stays orange and never goes green for a complete connection.

We’ve tried trouble-shooting with PrivadoVPN, but the above issue remains the same.

Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:
-on the VPN Dashboard page, click “global options”
-select “Allow WAN”

I had the same problem once, after upgrading. Searched for weeks, but this was the simple solution.
