Does anyone use the wavemon command line app?
If not I can really recommend using it to help find the best placement for your routers and to measure their connections.
it makes a great replacement for the android wifi analyzer application
iw wlan0 scan
iwlist wlan0 scan
use on wlanx that is wisp
Yeah that sure works, but it is not dynamic…
If you check the 2nd page of wavemon you get a dynamic list of networks, sorted in what ever order you like.
If you check the 3rd page of wavemon you get a charted histogram that allows you to search easily for the strongest signals spots for your connection.
A more equivalent option might be the aircrack-ng suite, but wavemon is much easier to get along with
