Decide to try the new firmware V4.9.0 and rather then the usual moans i thought i would like to say how nice the interface is, especially the WireGuard Brilliant job, i do have a DVR for my cameras so i will try if i can get it to work on the new IoT Network
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience with the v4.9.0 firmware.
If you encounter any issues with the DVR for cameras while using the IoT network, please feel free to create a new thread or contact support@gl-inet.com by email to let us know. We would be happy to help.
Indeed nice, i need to second that the new interface is uncluttered and nice, i agree. If glinet had to comply with any EU regulations that is another issue, is just that most users wanted an explanation
Totally agree. More flexible ethernet port management and native VLAN support and my UniFi kit will likely to be retired for good. Well done to the developers team.
We currently plan to add VLAN support in a smaller release after v4.9. However, it may still take some time, and there is no available timeline we can share at the moment.
So, currently, there is no VLAN support in any product?
At the moment, VLANs can be configured through LuCI or via CLI commands, but not through the GL UI.
Ah, I see. I sent you a long DM. I'm hoping to hear back from you before you leave work. I know it's getting late where you are. I'm hoping we can understand the cause of the problem before the weekend!
what do you mean?
Many thanks for the offer of help I may need it on the IoT Network, but back to the new GUI when you select Specified Connection Types and devices to use a tunnel and apply settings the devices are saved and show a tick and light blue background as before but the Specified Connection Types don’t seem saved in the GUI pic 1 is selected connections but after apply all settings it looks like pic 2 in the GUI not saved, but it must be as my devices would not work through the VPN tunnel, I have tried it several time’s, thanks.

Could you please clarify which router model and firmware version you are currently using?
We tested locally using a Flint 2 running v4.9.0 beta4 (the build released on May 25), but were unable to reproduce the issue.
We were able to select LAN + IoT and save the configuration successfully:

Please check again and see whether the issue is still occurring. If it is, please follow the guide below and share your device with us via GoodCloud so that we can investigate remotely:
Please also send us the MAC address and the router password via private message so that we can access the device.
Hi sorry it’s the Flint 3 not tried the beta on the Flint 2, the devices are saved but not the Connection Types, I did do an upgrade to the new firmware saving settings maybe that’s the trouble.
