What do I do to fix this? "The client is starting, please wait…"

I suddenly keep getting “The client is starting, please wait…” when trying to connect. I have no idea how to fix this and am not very technically inclined. Can anyone explain in simple terms how I can fix this? I’ve been using Mullvad previously with no issues. Here’s this, if this helps to diagnose the problem: Mon Mar 18 10:47:30 2024 daemon.notice netifd: wgclient (14949): Warning: fw3_ipt_rule_append(): Can’t find target ‘postrouting_wgserver_rule’

None of the log entries indicate an issue. Please make sure that your credentials are correct, your device limit in Mullvad isn’t reached and the selected Mullvad server has no issues.

Please make sure that your ISP and country do allow VPN (it won’t work in China, Iran, Russia)

Check if you have normal Internet without vpn.

Check your Mullvad account is not expired, or key not deleted.

Thank you for your help! I’m embarrassed to say that it was as simple as adding more $ to my Mullvad account. D’oh! Completely forgot that was about to expire. Thank you again!

It would be nice to add a function in the web panel that the vpn account status, e.g. expire date, spending etc.

Will this be helpful to users?

It would be helpful, but all in all user have to know that they have to pay for the VPNs …
So a more quick way would be to include a message while “The client is starting, please wait…” - like “If this needs more than 1 minute, please check the balance on your VPN provider … bla bla bla”

We prefer to collaborate with Mullvand and use another API to get account status.

Would be cool, but there are plenty of Wireguard VPN providers - not all of them can be integrated.
