Qualcomm ain't gonna give up the secrets in their SDK. The OWRT project devs are going to need time to 'clean room' engineer/develop workarounds lest they face a risk of an 'intellectual property' lawsuit. By that time I think we'll be asking the same of the Slate 9.
Even then GL.iNet's GUI & underlying augmentations, custom scripts to OWRT are technically closed sourced but that's far less of a problem to work around.
