Hi,

I’d like a mini router that would allow me to do below 2 things:

  • Plug it to my main router and setup another WiFi network at home (for guests, different from my regular WiFi network).
  • use it at hotels without having to connect to hotel’s WiFi. This is to have a private WiFi network without internet access for me to stream movies from my iPad to my Fire TV stick.

Is there any model that can work as above?

Virtually all will meet your needs but I recommend Slate ar750s because as the only one with “travel” routers has 5Ghz wifi option.

BTW how about the B1300 model? It has 5G, doesn’t it?

Yes. B1300’has 5G but it is a little bigger than others.
