Hello, I have the same router (gl-ax1800) and need to have multiple vpn clients. Can you please share your configuration files? Thanks

I also have the ax-1800 and axt-1800 and there is only one wireguard connection possible. Some Asus routers actually allow this.
I for example, want to put my media devices behind a vpn in one country, and some other devices behind another.

This would be great. Ideally could have a 3rd SSId and link that to the additional connection as well.

Basically want to have clean Internet on one SSId, vpn1 on one SSId, and vpn2 on a second SSId.

s2s and wireguard client can be used at the same time.
While s2s VPN is for company network, wireguard client is for internet.
We’ll evaluate the implementation based on firmware 4.5.

No, because you would need bonding for it.

Are you sure about this? Afaik WAN bonding requires at least a server-client-construct. Did you mean Link aggregation? This won’t work for WAN - at least this is my state of knowledge so far.

Yes this is what I mean. I am not sure the difference from a "Link aggregation".

This thread hasn't been closed yet since 2022 and many others have been continuously asking for it, but it's a shame that there's still no news.

If handling multiple instances reliably is tricky to be ensured across all models, how about implement this first as alternative? 😅

2025 here. I also need this.

I have a specific Wireguard connection which connects to a Nordvpn server very close to Dropbox datacenters in Washington DC (AllowedIPs = 108.160.160.0/20, 162.125.0.0/16, 185.45.8.0/22, 45.58.64.0/20).

This gives me insane upload/download speed from Dropbox.

I do however, also have another Wireguard connection which I need to have running at the same time.

Would be nice to have them both operational at the same time.

I'm not sure I understood.
Is it possible, for example, to have 3 different Wifi SSIDs, all separate from each other, and make them separately go into 3 separate Wireguard Tunnels?

For example:
Wifi Germany\_ABC = Wireguard Tunnel to VPN Server in Germany
Wifi Finald\_DEF = Wireguard Tunnel to VPN Server in Finland
Wifi USA\_ghi = Wireguard Tunnel to VPN SERVER in USA

Then, I can compartimentalize my device to only connect to one of these WIFIs.
Is this possible? How difficult is it?
Will the estimated speed of Wireguard be 1/3 per each tunnel, or will each tunnel have the max estimated speed?
Is the hardware capable of doing so? Can it be done easily?
I just want 3 different SSIDs , each with his own VPN, in full mode with kill switch. And then it will be easy for me to just "choose" the country of my connecton through just connecting to one of these Wifi.
Obviously I will need all three working concurrently (at the same time).

Thanks. Please, give me an honest answer. This is really helpful for me

Yes, if you need to set up three independent Wi-Fi SSIDs connected to different VPN tunnels, you can do this with V4.8.0.
Here is the download link: [GL.iNet download center](https://dl.gl-inet.com/router/axt1800/beta)

Independent WiFi SSIDs require different firewall traffic.

The following is the IoT wireless network I created and forwarded IoT traffic to openclient1.

 ![image](https://forum-static.gl-inet.com/original/3X/7/b/7b4e3cdaceb5360801173642efe24abfef258263.png)
 ![image](https://forum-static.gl-inet.com/original/3X/2/b/2b3e49255f5d4922d1738e2fa6520cefddac0ac7.png)

In the VPN Dashboard, set Specified Connection Types to "IoT".

 ![image](https://forum-static.gl-inet.com/original/3X/0/3/034ede84f041c1676825b5c7d391379190124739.png)

After creating a new VPN tunnel, you need to manually set up traffic forwarding on the firewall rules on Luci so that the current VPN rules take effect on the WiFi network.
