Wireguard client question

Hi,

I have 2 routers at 2 different physical locations (separated by many miles). Router 1 is netgear running stock openwrt. I have router 1 configured as a wireguard server. It has worked well for allowing me to connect in when I'm away.

Router 2 is a GL.MT6000 running native firmware. I see an option to activate as a wireguard client. What I'm wondering is if I do this, (ie: connect router 2 wireguard client to router 1 wireguard server), how are the networks 'blended'? Meaning, is it one big happy network or is it still two separate networks with some connectivity?

For a little more detail:
router 1 serves up 192.168.0.* and when connected into it from outside uses 10.0.100.*
router 2 serves up 192.168.8.*

When I connect to router 1 from my phone using wireguard, it's like i'm in the house and I'm able to connect to all hosts in the house.

Sorry if this question is too basic...

Separated networks with some routes, depending on what you set up.
