Wireless Bridge with AP like functionality

I was recently advised to pickup the slate 7 to resolve a network need.

Here is my situation: I have a wired switch in another area of my house I want to connect the switch over wifi to my main router HOWEVER I need the Ethernet bridge to function like an Access point as well meaning that I need it to defer all dhcp and dns to my router automatically as individual application port forwarding is going to be a non starter.

Its looking lie the slate 7 is incapable of doing this is that correct?

Slate 7 supports " Extender" mode, which are able to connect to exist Main Wi-Fi and "bridge" it to LAN.
It should be able to meet your needs.
