I own B1300 for a few months fw v3.105, Samba version 3.6.25, now have SanDisk USB 3.1 stick mounted and reading/writing speed is really disappointing.
Writing speed from my Pixel 2 XL phone is up to 2MB/s, from Dell laptop it is up to 10MB/s. Reading is much faster. Tested NTFS, exFAT - no big difference.
The iostat shows that utilization of /mnt/sda1 is around 100% when writing large files. CPU usage is pretty low even with NTFS file system (ntfs-3g is at top, but I don’t think it consumes too much). My question - does it mean that physical chips can’t handle better speeds?
If that’s the case - what is the point for B1300 to have USB 3.0 support then?
Any ideas how to fix that? Or maybe alternatives to SAMBA?
Thank you
