Wyze Cam v3 disconnecting and reconnecting to Flint 3

My only Wyze v3 camera is constantly losing connection to the Flint 3 2.4 wifi. Wifi has a unique SSID since I only use 2.4 for IOT and cameras.

Seeing this in the log. Running the latest stable release FW. Any ideas?

I too am seeing these errors about 3 times a minute on the Flint 3 w/4.8.4 FW on a 2.4GHz connection. The only difference being the device is an EcoFlow River 3.

I would like to know if this is something I need to be worried about.

Bueller? Bueller?

Hi

Jut come back from the from the Chinese New Year holiday.

Please check the following:

  1. Make sure the SSID is set to WPA2-only encryption, as some IoT devices have poor compatibility with WPA3.
  2. Try setting the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi mode to 802.11n/g, since some IoT devices may not work well with ax/be modes.
uci set wireless.wifi0.hwmode='11ng'
uci commit wireless

/etc/init.d/network restart
  1. Try disabling 802.11v on the corresponding SSID, as the log indicates that the issue appears to be related to roaming.
# On Main SSID
uci set wireless.wifi2g.bss_transition='0'

# On Guest SSID
uci set wireless.guest2g.bss_transition='0'

uci commit wireless
/etc/init.d/network restart

Kung Hei Fat Choy.

I’m happy to report that after going with Option #2 I am no longer seeing the “station kicked out” errors on my EcoFlow River 3.

I went with Option #2 because it also happened to fix Flint 3 2.4 Ghz instability (kernel errors) for me. Thank you! @will.qiu

Thanks. I’ll try it later, but I have purchased a 2.4Ghz standalone AP to try to offload some of the 40-ish IOT items I have and that particular camera to seems to be working great with it.
