X-3000 4.4.9 Firmware Traffic Stat Reversal

Not sure if this is the right place to post however just an observation. Just installed 4.4.9 and noticed the traffic stats under the internet tab had gotten switched. Up as down down as up. Not a huge deal but went back to 4.4.8 and it went back to normal.

This is odd as that post references 4.4.8 which works for me but the new 4.4.9 has the reversal.

Can I see your module firmware version?

Great that worked perfectly. Of note though I did the modem upgrade while on 4.4.8 and it made the stats there reversed but after upgrading to 4.4.9 they were correct this time. Thanks!

I see. Im using R01A08_203 which is the latest release for R01 branch. R03 branch reduced upload speeds on our tests at least on NSA.

How much lower is it than R01A08?

It was 50Mbps to 10Mbps. I think that it was related to how the modules handle the SCC upload on CA. I only relies on the NSA band upload [ ul-datasplit] and doesn't use the LTE. Download speed was also kind of affected but don't have time to thoroughly test since cell speeds are dynamic. (observed on R03A03_201 version). However, _201 fixes the problem when modules cannot connect to NSA (either LTE only or SA) but R01A08_203 also fixes this problem thats why I settled with this version.

Did you use the following scenarios for comparison testing?
The same card?
Different versions of the same device?
Are the speed nodes consistent?

Same card. Same setup and environment also. Downgrading from R03A03 to R01 branch returned the expected speed. R03A03_201 really has noticeable speed decrease especially on UL.

Are the cell information and band on both versions the same?

Can I ask where you sourced this file? Would prefer to ensure it is a reputable source. I don't trust many people, so please don't take it personally.

Yes, same cell information since the place and setup were all identical. I only did changed versions to check the speeds.

No problem there. It's from Quectel, of course. No one can easily get QSDK to make custom firmware and even if they did, custom firmware usually has OCPU on its version or some kind of marking that it was made by third party. I don't even have enough money to reach even a quarter of the needed amount of orders to have access at their SDK :joy:
