XE300 restore to factory firmware

Hello. I’ve received XE300 Puli with the firmware “4.3.28 alpha1”. It worked perfectly, but I was experiencing some issues with LTE (speed 20 mb/s max - but later I’ve found that its ok for mmy LAN module).

But I didn’t like its “alpha1” and upgraded to 4.3.27 (in fact, downgraded). After it, I found out:

  • LAN speed dropped from 75 to 40 mb/s
  • LTE speed dropped from 20 to 12-16
  • Luci is installed and cannot be removed, while I don’t need it, and it occupies memory
  • Less settings for LTE available (i.e. no way to change IMEI)

4.3.28 alpha1 is not available on the firmware website: GL.iNet download center

Is there any way to get it, or any other firmware which will not have issues which I noticed for 4.3.27? (I even tried 4.8.3 beta, but it is even worser)

Sorry for the delayed reply.

That sounds a bit unusual, because:

  1. By default, we normally would not ship devices with alpha firmware preinstalled. Perhaps you are referring to the v4.3.28 release firmware instead?
  2. Our firmware generally should not affect cellular speeds under normal circumstances — this may instead be related to fluctuations or adjustments in the mobile network.
  3. Could you clarify what you mean by the LAN speed issue? Are you referring to LAN-to-WAN speed, or LAN-to-LAN speed? Neither of these should normally be affected either.
