Hello All,

 

I’d like to setup a GL-AR300M or a GL-MT300A-Ext as an Wifi extender / hotspot (to be used on a motorboat).

What wil happen if I connect an external sma antenna and mount that antenna outside of the boat and keep the other antenna inside.

Will both antennas pick up the wifi signal (wisp) and both send the SSID, knowing that the outside antenna will recieve the harbor signal?

I think so. You can change the antenna like that. I am not so sure about the performance though.
