Seen some very old threads but want to run the Spitx ax 3000 from the Campervan supply ,options of cigarette lighter socket or direct to it.
Any help appreciated

The power supply (voltage) of some vehicles' cigarette lighters may fluctuate, especially when the vehicle ignitions, the voltage may increase over the 36V.
Since some vehicle cigarette port seem to have no protection or circuit breaker on the front circuit, as cigarette port are generally used for heating, it does not require protection.
Please consider bring this kind of fuse power supply cable.
Are there any other power output ports on the vehicle?
If there may be front-end circuit protection of other output ports, I think this kind of interface will be better for powering the devices.

Its a RV so has a seperate 12v supply from Leisure battteries ,it is not from the vehicles 12v socket at the front,told yesterday to have a 12v 2.5 amp power cable,the 12v supply from the RV has cigarette type power female sockets, thanks
It looks like this power adapter should be including a protection part, I think the router to get power from it, probably a little better than directly from the cigarette port.
