192.168.8.1 Won't open on Slate 7

Hi All,

This is my first travel router and I can't get the log in screen of 192.168.8.1 to open, i checked the settings and it goes straight through to the 192.168.1.1 local router which im connected to via a ethernet cable

I have no idea if its set up correctly (currently the ethernet leads goes from the slate 7 Lan port to the routers Lan port) but im getting no success

The laptop is connected to the router via wifi but no luck to date

Wrong cabling, your main routers LAN port needs to be connected to the WAN port of your Slate.

  1. You need to connect Slate 7 WAN to local router LAN
  2. You need to be connected to Slate 7 LAN via Ethernet or Slate 7 WiFi to be able to see the router at 192.168.8.1
  3. If you are connected to local router via Ethernet or WiFi, you won't be able to connect to the Slate. That is working as it should.
