I like the GL-AR750S-Ext “Slate” router very much. I use it mostly from Barnes & Noble to connect to my Linux VM at home through WireGuard, which wouldn’t otherwise be possible on my Surface Pro X because no WireGuard client exists.
In a router redesign in 2020, I’d like to see one that uses USB-C only, including USB-C Power Delivery for power. Also, I think that we really need support for microSD cards that are significantly larger than 128 GB. (What causes this constraint in the GL-AR750S? It’s seems odd.) A true on/off switch would be nice, as well as a premium body, to go along with premium devices.
