In the GL.iNet GUI, there is an option to reboot, but not shut down. In general, is it a good idea to just remove the USB-C cable to shut down the router? Wouldn't it be better to implement a proper shutdown option in the GUI, especially with the Mudi 7?

I`m using this on my Flint2. You can access it from LuCI.
What is an advanced reboot?
It is not usual on a router, it is more usual for wifi to turn off or a different network interface if something misbehaves.
Though... You can use poweroff as command inside ssh which gives you a cli window.
But routers are not build in mind to be powered off, they are supposed to run headless with a web ui.
