It seems that OpenWRT does not have in version 22.x nor in 23.x - any fix to their tailscale client and daemon. When you configure and run tailscale and check Tailscale's admin console, you'll see a warning which urges you to upgrade your client immediately.
There are 2 options to Upgrade. The first one is using @admon script and the other one (for people who knows Linux) is to use the official Tailscale binaries page, download, extract etc...
