Adding Wifi on GL-MV1000 with Firmware 4.X

Hello, I have a GL-MV1000 (Brume) and want to add a USB dongle to this router. The USB dongle (Wifi5) is well recognized with the last stable firmware (v3.218). It's identified as 8821CU. it's seems that only Access Point functionality is available (not repeater) but it's not a problem for me because i will use only the AP mode. The issue is that in Firmware 3.X, the Scheduled Tasks menu is not present and i'd like to deactivate Wifi a few hours during the day. On firmware 4.X i have this menu but the Wifi dongle does not appear. I see 2 solutions : Find a way to schedule the wifi functionality with Firmware 3.X (by adding a plugin ?) or adding the good driver to the Firmware 4.X (I prefer this last solution because this firmware is more complete with ZeroTier, Tailscale and so on).

Do you have an idea to resolve this ? Thank you

Hi,

Sorry, GL firmware would not support these third-party USB WiFi modules.

You can find the drivers on Google or compile by yourself to install it.

Given this lack of support, I will no longer use this router. For those who are interested, I am giving you my MV1000 (brume) if you only pay me the shipping costs (from Europe). Contact me by PM if you're interested. Thank you.
