Since the update in the adguard Home settings the only client that shows up is localhost (127.0.0.1). Prior to the update all of my network clients were listed. Now, only localhost is listed. No other change to the system or network besides the upgrade was performed. This prevents me from being able to apply per-host policies. How do I correct this?
You need to enable „ AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests“ inside the GL interface.
That was already on prior to the upgrade. I've since disabled and re-enabled adguard and the 'handle client requests' with no change in the behavior.
Do you have Allow custom DNS to override VPN DNS enabled?
Yes. That is on as well as " Override DNS Settings of All Clients".
Unchecked all the dns settings and its working again. Seems to be a behavior change from the previous version and also is not in line with the disclaimer on the page:
"AdGuard Home is enabled and this router will use the DNS server provided by AdGuard Home as the custom DNS server. The DNS server settings will not work." I read that as telling me that those DNS settings shouldn't matter at all.
