I have only had a few GL-MT300N-V2 for a couple of days, but what you can do with them are sweet!
Long story short, can you make additional or even custom options for the hardware switch?
These would most likely be options placed under the Advanced firmware section, maybe as a add-on page you can install through the packages?
Here are a few suggestions for what the hardware switch could do.
Start / Stop a service of your choosing (Right - Enable service & Start, Left - Disable Service & Stop), Enable / Disable wifi, Allow or disable remote (or any) administration.
