Adguard Home Vs DPI Content Filtering

AdGuard Home filters at the DNS level, while DPI operates at the IP packet level.

They work independently. However, since DNS queries occur before accessing a domain, AdGuard Home filtering typically takes effect first.

I believe that the DPI is a external source, it may only download a small db, but most is going over to netify or a gl api and then over netify, I think I still wanted to verify this but had no time

All data is processed locally and is not uploaded to Netify or GL.iNet.

Also the DPI may aswell work with ip, although when I look to the malware filter it is just unknown to me how it works, hopefully in the future this can get much more details and information, also which pcs triggered it, and what strain of malware it thinks it is with domain/ip so one can do research on this.

This feature is already in the roadmap and will be supported in a future firmware update.
