Adguard with NordVPN

Is it possible to use Adguard and NordVPN simultaneously ?
What is safer: Adguard DNS or NordVPN DNS ?
And can you use, for example, Adguard through NordVPN DNS ?

yes, supported to enable AdGuard Home and run the VPN client with NordVPN at the same time in the router.

I think both safe, but it depends on which one you trust more, or which one respond faster in your location.

After enabling the AdGuard Home, and you can fill in NordVPN DNS in its setting page.

How to configure a DNS server in Adguard Home to go through a VPN ?
I would like the DNS servers to come from the VPN provider, rather than from the DNS servers configured in AdGuard Home.
GL-MT6000; 4.8.0

That only enables AdGuard Home, and does not enable the option "AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests". In this way, when VPN is enabled, DNS requests will still go to the DNS server which set up in VPN profile.

When I enable Adguard with NordVPN enabled I get DNS leaks (mostly I have only NordVPN servers, but sometimes other servers appear).

What is router model, firmware version? I would like to check in my router.
Please let me know what features have you configured?

Hello Bruce,
GL-MT 6000, 4.8.0 Beta.
Settings:
Network->DNS->Manual->entered DNS servers from NordVPN.
All settings in DNS disabled. With only NordVPN enabled, no DNS leaks.

Applications->AdGuard Home->enabled Enable AdGuard Home and disabled AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests.

AdGuard Home->Settings Page->Settings->DNS Settings->Main DNS servers entered servers from NordVPN.

When this is set in AdGuard Home nothing happens - no blocks, all DNS queries and blocked are zero, no DNS leaks.

Only when I enable Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS in Network->DNS DNS queries and blocked start to appear, but there are DNS leaks.

Of course after enabling AdGuard Home in Network->DNS - DNS takes over AdGuard Home - no Manual DNS.

Only when I enable Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS in Network->DNS DNS queries and blocked start to appear, but there are DNS leaks.

When you discover a DNS leak, do you still disable AdGuard Home from handling client requests?

Are other rules set in the VPN channel, such as blacklists?

My test device did not detect any DNS leaks. Are there any other different settings?

I left the topic aside a bit because it wasn't working on previous versions.
Today I installed the new version 4.8.1, and according to the above settings, everything works - no DNS leaks.
Thank you for your help.
