Admin Site 192.168.8.1 Won't Load

I purchased the L.iNet GL-AXT1800(Slate AX) Portable Gigabit Travel Router recently.

I set up the router using the factory settings and password that is on the router. I am able to get onto the internet.

However, I am not able to get onto the admin site "192.168.8.1". The site times out.

I tried different browsers, I tried my phone using my phone's network, I turned my VPN off. I turned my firewall off. I reset the router.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

I tried contacting my ISP, since someone in another forum said their ISP provider was blocking this address. Turns out they weren't blocking the address, but they suggested plugging the wire into the WAN port as opposed to the LAN port (the instructions that came w/ the router said to plug into the LAN port). This worked. Hopefully this info will help someone in the future.
