Allowlist on GL-ATX1800 (Slate AX)

Hi,
I've just noticed that MAC address filtering for the “Allowlist” section doesn't work on the
GL-AXT1800 (Slate AX).
I connect my devices to the router with the MAC address of each device to prevent anyone from connecting.
So I set up a list that I configure and apply on the router, but this list has disappeared when I reconnect again to the interface.
I think this has been a bug since at least the last release, as it used to work perfectly.
Tried to reset and re-configured, always the same.
On my second router (GL-X3000) i don't have this problem.
Thanks for your help.

Do you mean the device disconnects / reconnects the network interface?

Hi,

Simply the list of mac adress configured in 'Allowlist' disappeared when I reconnected to the 192.168.8.1 web interface.

Do you mean the list goes empty?

My AXT1800 works OK. So seems it is a bug when upgrade from old firmware.
Did you have the list when you ugrade?
What is your firmware version before upgrade?

Yes the list goes empty and the list was present before upgrade.
Tried to reset with the new firmware but problem is always here (configure the 'Allowlist', apply, disconnect from Web interface, reconnect to Web inferface after on minute for example and constat the 'Allowlist' is gone).
Can i install the old firmware over the last one ?.

Thanks for your help.
P.S.: I always use the latest firmware. Updated from 4.6.2 to 4.6.4 via router (not updated with local upgrade).

May I know how to reproduce this situation in the 4.6.4?
the whitelist (Allowlist) did not disappear in my AXT1800, close the web page, disconnect the cable (or wifi), hang up for 15mins, check it again and no issue.

Yes. Download the old firmware from: https://dl.gl-inet.com/

Hi,
I can't explain this bug for myself.
I'm going to reinstall the old firmware (as everything was ok before) and wait for the next firmware.
Thank you for your help and your time.
We can close the subject.

Note: with firmware 4.6.4, in the 'Access Control' window, the 'BlockList' selection is in Chinese, only the term 'Allowlist' is in English ! -incomplete translatation, source of the bug for me?-.

I reinstalled 4.6.2 firmware and now it's OK, have no problems.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your update. :slightly_smiling_face:
