Any ETA for OpenVPN version upgrade?

The Android OpenVPN app was updated in October and can no longer connect to my GL-MT2500a. Appears related to the BF-CBC cipher being deprecated.

https://blog.openvpn.net/openvpn-connect-340-android/

"Because the OpenSSL 3.0 library has disabled deprecated ciphers like the BF-CBC cipher (among others), we recommend that Access Server users operating older installations that rely on the BF-CBC cipher upgrade both server and client software. "

My GL-MT2500a is still running OpenVPN 2.5.3 even with the recent firmware upgraded to 4.6.4

Are there plans to upgrade the OpenVPN version and if so any eta?

Thanks!

We are planning to upgrade openvpn version in v4.8.

We will check the Andriod app and get a fix first.

Thanks for the update! I'm looking forward to the 4.8 update

Thanks for the quick reply!

Glad that it's on the roadmap.

Will 4.8 be supported on anything other than the routers presently on 4.7? This is a problem for a number of devices that are still actively being sold yet not receiving any new major point updates..I've got a brand new Mudi v2 and a raft of other recent GL devices since I tend to use them for all kinds of problem-solving for clients and probably have at least one of everything just for testing. I'm beginning to get concerned about feature support though.
