I’m thinking connect to an existing wireless network using external 9dbi antennas but then have my local wireless network (to which I will connect device(s)) using internal antenna or a difference pair of external antenna, 2dbi ???
Is it possible to do this with any of these devices ?

My thinking is to use an existing wireless network as my internet connection but it’s a fairly low signal, hence wanting to use 9dbi external antenna to increase the range for that side.
BUT then I want a nice all-round localised wireless network to connect my devices to, such as the coverage pattern created by some nice omni-directional 2dbi antennas.

You cannot use the antenna separately. Both antenna works the same.
