I recently bought a GL-AR300M on firmware 2.27 which I am using as a repeater for a cellular hotspot’s wifi. Unfortunately the hotspot needs to be rebooted every day. I have the checkbox for “auto scan and reconnect” checked but the GL-AR300M never does reconnect automatically. I have to go through the portal at 192.168.8.1 and hit the connect button manually. All well and good if I’m home but not so good if I’m not. Is there something I can do to fix this?
Could you ssh into the router and issue ps | grep gl_health | grep -v grep? Any result output? If not, maybe the reconnect process has exited with exception. You need to reboot the router.
It’s been over 7 years since I used Linux so I don’t remember how to do that. But I’ll see if I can figure it out.
