AR750 S frequent desconection from wifi

Hi
My AR750 S, acting as a repeater, frequently disconnects from the main router wifi.
I then need to input the wifi key again a reconnect, this happens once every hour and it is a pain.
I have experienced the same issue both with firmware 3.003 and 3.007 .
The issue got worse once i run adblock

Any suggestion/advice?

thanks

Is the main router yours? 2.4G or 5G?

Did you save the ssid/key in the router so that it can connect automatically?

Maybe you can disable repeater manager and try again. ssh to the router and rename /usr/bin/gl_health

Thanks for your answer

  1. Main router is 2.4
  2. The option to remember the password is ticked in the router manager
  3. Is this ssh command to check the health of the router??

Regards

Try changing 2.4 Wireless 11n bandwidth settings in ISP (main) router to 40 Mhz.
Test and report back, please.

ssh is used to connect to the router’s Linux system. Check here: SSH to the Router - GL.iNet Docs

Then in putty and use the following command to disable gl_health.

mv /usr/bin/gl_health /usr/bin/gl_health_bak
killall /usr/bin/gl_health

these are the logs i get. i will now disable as suggested

hi

this is what i get when i try to kill the process
regards

root@GL-AR750S:/# killall /usr/bin/gl_health
killall: /usr/bin/gl_health: no process killed

root@GL-AR750S:/# killall /usr/bin/gl_health
killall: /usr/bin/gl_health: no process killed

Not sure why the killall command fails.

After renaming it (mv /usr/bin/gl_health /usr/bin/gl_health_bak), log into Luci and go to Status>processes and kill it there.

Meanwhile, please try my fix above.

hi
I am having problems with my dsl or home router.
tomorrow i am changing the router
in the meantime i tried again

root@GL-AR750S:/# mv /usr/bin/gl_health /usr/bin/gl_health_bak
mv: can’t rename ‘/usr/bin/gl_health’: No such file or directory
root@GL-AR750S:/# killall /usr/bin/gl_health
killall: /usr/bin/gl_health: no process killed

@glitch i am bit afraid to do this as i dont understand what i am doing
Try changing 2.4 Wireless 11n bandwidth settings in ISP (main) router to 40 Mhz.

i just killed via luci the gl health process

Try the following to find out the correct path of the command

which gl_health

Thanks
I changed my home router, now I don’t get disconnected.
However I have another problem which I explained in a new post, I get low speeds .

You don’t need to delete the gl_health.
It can be disabled in the GUI.
Go to Internet / Reapeater settings →
Repeater Options (even if Reapeater is disabled).
Turn Off: “Auto scan and re-connect”
