Hi Support Team,
I'm looking for some assistance troubleshooting a significant latency issue with my GL-RM10 setup.
I'm using the GL-RM10(Version: Vl.10.2 beta10) to remotely access a MacBook over the internet. The remote screen is visible, and keyboard and mouse control generally work, but when I participate in video meetings, I experience approximately 2 seconds of delay with both microphone audio and camera/video. This makes real-time conversations difficult because my speech and actions reach the other participants noticeably late.
Here are my current setup details:
-
Device: GL-RM10
-
Firmware: V1.10.2 beta1 (RM10)
-
Video transfer mode: WebRTC (FEC)
-
FEC setting: Currently testing 10%
-
Network connection: Ethernet on the RM10; remote access over the internet
-
Observed issue: Approximately 2 seconds of delay with microphone and camera during meetings
My GLKVM dashboard has also shown the following network metrics:
-
Network latency: approximately 260 ms
-
Network jitter: approximately 5 ms
-
Packet loss: approximately 7.94%
-
Playback delay: approximately 43.6 ms
I've already updated the firmware and am testing different video and FEC settings, but the delay remains a significant problem.
Could you please help me determine whether this is a known issue with the current firmware, WebRTC (FEC), microphone/camera forwarding, or my network connection? I'd appreciate recommendations for the optimal configuration, any known firmware fixes, or other troubleshooting steps that could reduce the latency to a level suitable for interactive video meetings.
If additional diagnostic logs or tests are needed, I'm happy to provide them.
Thank you for your time and support. I appreciate any guidance you can offer.
Best regards
